8th Annual Talent Managers Association Heller Awards Nominees Announced
Los Angeles, CA (August 28, 2009) The Talent Managers Association (TMA) Board of Directors have announced the 2009 Heller Award Nominees for Outstanding Talent Agents (Commercial/Theatrical), Casting Directors/Associates (Television/Film), Commercial Casting, this year’s TMA Talent Manager of the Year, and special awards to be presented at the 8th Annual TMA Heller Awards scheduled for October 20, 2009, Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Universal Sheraton Hotel in Universal City, CA.
The event is a gathering of industry people responsible for building actors’ careers and recognizing their peers for their outstanding achievements and contributions to the entertainment industry. The following are the nominees in each respective category:

In addition, the TMA will present two special awards: the Pat McQueeney Award for outstanding service to the TMA presented this year to industry veteran, Gary Marsh, Breakdown Services, Inc., and the TMA Talent Manager of the Year Award to be awarded to Paul Trusik, Trusik Talent Management.
Debuting in 2002, the TMA Heller Awards were named in honor of legendary talent manager, Seymour Heller (1914- 2001), best known for his life-long representation of Liberace and the co-founding of the National Conference of Personal Managers. Past Lifetime Achievement Award recipients include Robert P. Marcucci (The Idolmaker, 1980), Buddy Morra, Ken Kragen, and the late Bernie Brillstein.
