Mary Elizabeth Boylan
Mary Elizabeth Boylan has been modeling, dancing and acting since age three. Born to a family of humble means in the rural outskirts of Cleveland, Ohio, she discovered dancing a young age, transitioned into musical theater, then pulled together an academic scholarship while working multiple jobs to study acting at Ohio State University.
The hard work paid off shortly after graduation when Mary relocated to South Beach, Miami and began a successful modeling and acting career, booking national magazine ads and commercials, including one spot along side Samuel L. Jackson for the Spike TV Video Game Awards.
Mary currently resides in Beverly Hills, California, where she works as a film, TV and commercial actor. Her starring role in the upcoming feature film, Well Enough Alone, cast her as an introverted geek who falls for a mysterious painter with an ominous past. For the role, she had to tread a fine line between shyness and strength, and create the complexities necessary to breathe life into the role.
Her follow up was the soon-to-be-released western, Parched, in which she co-stars as a resourceful, husband-less woman in the male dominated west. For this character, Mary conducted wide research into the customs and challenges of the west, discovering hard realities and challenges faced by women of that era, which she brought to the screen in an intricate and powerful performance.
Mary's art flows from a rich imagination, natural grace, penetrating intellect and lifetime's worth of travels and experiences (she's also lived in London, France and Mexico). A joy to work with, Mary touches a deep, undeniable humanity in every performance, and gives herself completely to every character she brings to life.
